Frontline Health System Resilience
Climate change acts as a threat multiplier, placing unprecedented strain on Nepal’s frontline healthcare infrastructure. Extreme weather events, indoor air pollution, and heat stress frequently disrupt care delivery when it is needed most. This initiative focuses on assessing the physical and operational vulnerabilities of local healthcare facilities at the climate and health nexus. By working directly with health workers and policymakers, SEFNep designs and advocates for adaptive strategies that ensure continuous, ethical healthcare delivery. We strive to safeguard the health system against future climate shocks while protecting health equity and access and mitigating adverse health workforce migration.
